Igglybuff is one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon from the Pokémon Franchise a series of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media created by Satoshi Tajiri.

Igglybuff's name is styled in a similar way to its evolved forms, Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff, implying their relationship. "Iggly" is most likely intended to rhyme with "Jiggly", or "Wiggly" for its evolved forms, and "buff" refers to the fact that it is oddly strong for its looks or to rhyme with "Puff", or "Tuff" of its evolved forms. Alternatively, the omission of a consanant in "iggly" and a softer "b" consonant in "buff" could also indicate that Igglybuff is a lesser Pokémon compared to its evolved forms. Whatever the case, Igglybuff and all its forms share similar names in every language.
